Job Description:
St Dennis Parish Council is seeking a reliable, experienced, and self-motivated Office Administrator to assist the Parish Clerk, Senior Office Administrator, and Members. This role requires experience in a busy office environment and involves various tasks, including handling enquiries, managing correspondence, updating social media, processing grant applications, and assisting with meeting organisation and diary management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle enquiries and correspondence
- Update the Council's social media sites
- Receive and check grant applications
- Assist in meeting organisation and diary management
- Provide support to the Parish Clerk, Senior Office Administrator, and Members
Requirements:
- Experience in a busy office environment
- Good knowledge of various office procedures
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Office
- Effective organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Experience in Local Authority work (desirable but not essential)
- Flexibility to cover sickness and holidays
